A man with so many titles and professions, he became an engineer, a doctor, a teacher and most importantly our country’s National Hero. That man is no other than Dr. Jose P. Rizal he was executed by a firing squad in Bagong Bayan or the Luneta Park as known today.

Just like in the other places in our country, Culion pays a tribute to the death of our national hero every year. This year the program started through a parade leaded by the floats of the Inang Bayan, Theodora Alonzo, Ms. Luzon, Ms. Visayas, Ms. Mindanao and the float of the cast of characters of the reenactment of the death of our national hero. Different Culion organizations joined the celebration, the LCC, CES, BES, CNHS students, LGU, DOH and the Brgy. Officials also joined the parade.

In the end, it is proved that Dr. Rizal’s sacrifices and hardwork is not wasted.
