It’s Play-Time Loyolans!

Every Filipino Youth must be proud of the richness and uniqueness of our culture. This becomes apparent when LCC celebrates LinggongWika annually for the student’s appreciation of our culture’s beauty. As part of the celebration, the school let the students to experience playing traditional games which evolved from our forefathers long time ago. “MgaLarongLahi” refers to the games that originated here in our country like the well-known kadang-kadang, piko, sungka, sipa, bugtungan, taguan-bato, ihipan-gawgaw, sisiranbarya, and many more. The event took place last Friday August 19 in LCC Quadrangle, after the “ MisangPinoy”.

The Filipino cluster divided the high school and collegestudents into four different teams: team A, B, C, and D. Each competed wearing his/her Filipino attire whichhe/she has chosen.

The results of the completion wereannounced last August 20, 2011. While having the PinoyTuntunan: Mr. Domingo V. Labios the Master of Ceremony declared the over-all ranking of the different teams which ranked team B as the over-all champion, team C- first Runner-Up, team A- second Runner-Up, and team D-3rd Runner-Up.
