June 11, 2010 (Friday). All members of the LCC administration, faculty and staff had a team building activity at Malcapuya Island.
The aim of the activity was to organize and unify each department of the school. They had different games like the gagamba race, tug-of-war, blindfold retrieval, web obstacle, water bottle filling and culminated by the treasure hunting.
The administrators, faculty and staff were divided into two teams. The first team was named “Cute Javians” with Fr. Xavier C. Alpasa, the School President as the team head. The other team was called “Cheerful Litons” under the leadership of Fr. Marlito G. Ocon S.J., the School’s Vice-President.
The main objective of the games was to promote team work, trust for each other, perseverance, unity and mind-setting.
The winning group was the Cute Javians. The treasure that Javians found was a very beautiful message: “True Victory, One Team, One Spirit, One Family.” What a meaningful and inspiring message! It touched the heart of everyone who joined the activities. They realized that victory depends on unity and cooperation by each member of the team and that they are but one in mission, one spirit in Christ and in the love of God. It was a tiresome but a remarkable and satisfying activity indeed.
