We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year! That was the line that we frequently hear every December night while children sing songs for caroling.
Caroling is a tradition for everyone. It is also a tradition that our school used to have every year. Caroling is part of the fund-raisings that we used to do that benefited not only the whole school but others.
Last December 6, 2011, we, the LCC community, did the caroling after the lantern contest that was participated by every class. Every year level had designated area where they would do the caroling. The said caroling was started at 6 pm in the evening and was ended at about 8:30 pm.
Everyone - students, teachers and staffs, were very much excited about the amount that was collected, though we all knew that everybody was tired and dried up their throat. Every class was proud on how much they had collected and will be given to the school. The school used the money that was collected at the amount of around 12 thousand pesos or more for the gift giving that was conducted last December 24, 2011. The money collected was bought for the foods and gifts that were given to every Tagbanua that was invited to attend the “ERSEVER (reverse) CAROLING”.
See? Everybody did a good job. Caroling was not just to have money but to make use out of it. Through the caroling that was made by each and everyone that cares, we made our Tagbanua friends happy and gave them a meaningful Christmas.
Loyolans, keep it up! We are proud of you!

July 1, 2010, that was the day when I received the good news from Rev. Fr. Xavier C. Alpasa S.J., LCC President that our submitted business proposal was chosen as one of the finalists in the British Council Business Competition. Isla Culion Souvenirs was a concept of a social enterprise woven last summer. My partner, Jubelle Cabatingan and I, together with our coach, Sir Jun Tolosa Tibi, Jr worked on this proposal. I was so excited to hear from Fr. Javy that we would represent LCC and the rest of Isla Culion as well and would compete in Ateneo de Manila.
